Participants will bring their life west on the stage. Finns, air mattresses and wetsuits are allowed but must be carried the whole stage.<\/p>\n<p>The second swim-run stage will be approximately 10 km and include 2 water crossings (swimming) from 200m to 300m. Participants will bring their life west on the stage. For this stage you will need to bring a wetsuit. Weather and water temperature on the day will decide if you need to wear it. Finns and air mattresses are allowed but must be carried the whole stage.<\/p>\n<p>For the third swim challenge teams will get a floating device and you will need to be able to tie your bike \u00a0so please bring minimum 4 meters string or line per person.<\/p>\n<p>At one TA you will need to pack you bike into a bike box for transport. Bike boxes need to be handed in with drop bags prior to the race. Only<\/p>\n<p>Teams are unsupported and must plan their equipment and sustenance prior to the race.<\/p>\n<p>Each team must bring 4 drop bags \/ boxes (max 100 liters, must be closed and marked with bag name and team number)<br \/> Maximum weights:<br \/> &#8211; Bag A: 25 kg<br \/> &#8211; Bag B: 25 kg<br \/> &#8211; Bag C: 25 kg<br \/> &#8211; Bag D: 25 kg<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bag E: 10 kg<\/p>\n<p>The drop bags will be moved by the organizers to given TAs along the course. An overview of drop bag movements can be found in the roadbook handed out at check in.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ALL TIME EQUIPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>During the whole race each team must have the following team mandatory equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First aid kit that\u00a0includes minimum:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>2x Bandage of 6 cm width and 2 meters long<\/li>\n<li>5x Plaster of min 5&#215;2 cm size<\/li>\n<li>Analgesic (like paracetamol and others)<\/li>\n<li>Anti-inflammatory (like ibuprofen and others)<\/li>\n<li>Hand sanitizer \/ethanol<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Knife (blade max. 12 cm due to national law)<\/li>\n<li>Time keeping device eg. a watch (GPS and connection to phone not allowed)<\/li>\n<li>1x Mobile phone\u00a0 &#8211; fully charged and turned off in sealed package (Will be sealed by race organizers before the prologue). Must be available all times and not stoved away on kayak.<\/li>\n<li>1x compass<\/li>\n<li>Waterproof pen for writing. Suitable for all surfaces. (eg. for changes in CP or route)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 1x big headlamp<\/li>\n<li>1 digital camera to take team photos at CP\u00b4s where roadbook says so. Mobile phone not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Road book and maps from Race organizer<\/li>\n<li>GPS tracker (provided by race organizer). Must be placed in a pocket at the surface and top of back pack and not be stored in pack rooms in kayak.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>During the whole race all team\u2019s members must have the following personal mandatory equipment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1x survival blanket<\/li>\n<li>1x whistle available eg. on back pack.<\/li>\n<li>Red light on back of back pack or body (turned on when walking on roads at night)<\/li>\n<li>Small white front light (headlamp ok) (turned on when walking on roads at night)<\/li>\n<li>Waterproof jacket<\/li>\n<li>Windproof pants<\/li>\n<li>SportIdent card to punch controls (provided by the race organizers)<\/li>\n<li>Racebib \u2013 must carried as visible outer layer at all times (provided by the race organizers)<\/li>\n<li>Recommended: running shoes as some \u201cnot-running\u201d stages include CPs reached by foot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>BIKE STAGES:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal mandatory equipment for mountain bike stages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mountain bike<\/li>\n<li>Helmet<\/li>\n<li>Team number (provided by the race organizers) must be fixed at the front of the bike<\/li>\n<li>Red light pointing backward and white light pointing forward. Must be mounted on bike and turned on from sunset till sunrice. Headlamp does not count as white front light.<\/li>\n<li>Repair kit (1 per team)<\/li>\n<li>Each athlete must bring 1\u00a0bike box no larger than <span style=\"color: #e02b20;\">160cm X 100cm X 30cm<\/span>.\u00a0Maximum weight\u00a025kg when packed. Remember tools to pack your bike. Box must be able to withstand light rain and stand in a wet field. Cardboard boxes eg like those containing new bikes are allowed, but must be able to withstand the weather conditions.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #e02b20; font-size: 14px;\"><em>Only tools and wrapping for packing the bike is allowed in the box. During transport only bike and bike related items are allowed in the bike box. Please no water in the bike box to help our staff.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Participants must obey traffic regulations.<br \/> It is mandatory to use helmet when riding the bike.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Personal Mandatory equipment for Swimming stages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wetsuit \u2013 minimum short legs and short sleeves (see text above)<\/li>\n<li>Glowstick to be turned on during dark hours.
